This department works from TDO (Madhyasth Kacheri), BPSP(Building Plan Scrutiny Pool) & Zonal offices and is entrusted with the following responsibilities:

Roles & functions/objectives of Department:

• Building permission for new construction, Addition alteration of existing building.
• Granting permission for amalgamation & subdivision of land.
• Granting building use permission.
• Registration of professionals like Architects, Engineers, Clerk of works, Supervisor of Work, Structural designer, Developer.
• Providing reference plans showing distance of plot from protected monument.Providing reference plan to obtain Airport Authority N.O.C.
• Issuance of zoning certificates, work related to development plan of city.
• To provide reduced level of the plot to obtain Airport N.O.C.
• To take actions against unauthorized construction like Issuance of notice under provisions of Act and removal of the same. To attend courts(High Court, City Civil Court & Others) in various matters related to department.
