Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is organizing competition for Swachh Ward under Jan Andolan for cleanliness among the Hotels, Schools, RWAs, Hospital, Government Offices, and registered Market Associations as per guidelines of Jan Andolan under Swachh Survekshan 2024. This competition will lead to improvement of the overall cleanliness level and experience of places in each sector and wards.
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation will conduct ranking every month till March 2024. Interested participants are requested to register themselves by filling in the relevant forms. SANITARY LANDFILL SITE OF AMC
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation constructed secured engineering landfill site at gyaspur for disposal of inert generated from waste processing plants of AMC. It is operational since year 2008. Total area is 12.88 Hecter. Average capacity of inert disposal is 500 TPD and maximum capacity of 11.50 lacs MT, will use for 6 years. AMC allotted 68 hacter land for future planning of other landfill site

My Waste My Responsibility
On the occasion of the world environment day ministry of urban development, Government of India and Swachh Bharat Mission planning to declare India as a country with 100% segregation at source in all urban areas. As appropriate segregation at source/secondary storage is essential and to achieve this objective, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation along with CII launched a unique competition based social awareness drive and conference on "My Waste My Responsibility" amongst which any office, school and hotel from the city of Ahmedabad can take active participation.
