Municipal Chief Audit Department
Doing auditing work of various departments of the corporation, by rules and regulations prescribe under GPMC Act-1949.
Audit department shall perform such duties as is directed by or under the GPMC Act. The audit department headed by Municipal Chief Auditor, who is a statutory officer of the corporation as per the provisions contained in section 45 of said act. The duties and power of the Municipal Chief Auditor is mention under section 47 of the said act.
Audit department functions under the overall supervision direction and control of the standing committee.
Audit is conducted in a decentralized manner of all zones and departments of Municipal Corporation. Audit department uses various auditing techniques for audit work.
